On June 16th, Gu Rong, Director of the Fund Supervision Department of the National Medical Insurance Administration, and his delegation visited the Fourth Hospital of Zhejiang University to investigate and guide the supervision of medical insurance funds and the collection of drug traceability codes. Ai Chuan, member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Medical Insurance Bureau, accompanied the investigation.

Medical security work is related to the national economy and people's livelihood. Advancing the work of drug traceability codes can not only effectively identify fraudulent issues such as embezzlement of medical insurance funds, duplicate reimbursements, and false reimbursements, but also be applied to various aspects such as drug dispensing verification, inventory counting, and expiration date management in hospitals. It helps to improve the level of refined drug management in hospitals, effectively ensuring drug quality and patient safety in medication use.

The research team visited the development corridor of the Fourth Hospital of Zhejiang University and went to the pharmacy department to inspect the demonstration of drug traceability code collection on the fully automatic dispensing machine and manual batch collection of drug traceability codes. The Fourth Hospital of Zhejiang University attaches great importance to the collection of drug traceability codes, quickly responds to the requirements of the provincial and municipal medical insurance bureaus for pilot projects, actively deploys, and in less than a month, through measures such as system transformation, introduction of scanning equipment, and platform docking, transparent management of medical insurance payment drugs has been achieved, achieving the goal of "traceable source and traceable destination" throughout the entire process of drug monitoring.

At the symposium, Secretary Wang Kai emphasized the supervision of the medical insurance fund and the pilot collection of drug traceability codes at the Fourth Hospital of Zhejiang University, and expressed his commitment to fully utilize the advantages of information technology, continuously strengthen digital empowerment, explore traceability models, promote process supervision, and strive to become a national pilot unit for drug traceability code collection.

Director Gu Rong fully affirmed the conscious strengthening of fund supervision and active exploration of promoting the application of drug traceability code scanning by the Fourth Hospital of Zhejiang University. He pointed out that it is necessary to conscientiously implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on strengthening the normalized supervision of medical insurance funds, consciously fulfill the main responsibility of self-management of designated medical institutions, actively cooperate in the application of drug traceability code scanning, and create good practical experience for further strengthening the supervision of medical insurance funds.

Zhejiang University Fourth Hospital will take the opportunity of the National Medical Insurance Bureau's special investigation to further explore innovation in the full process management of drug traceability code collection, effectively protecting the safety of medical treatment and medication for the public, and safeguarding their health.
